3S linkage data: Cg

Cg was originally mapped 5cM proximal to d on the basis of a 3-point test cross involving lg2 and d (Galinat, MNL 26:51, 1952). Because lg2 is on 3L, about 50cM from d, it seemed worthwhile to obtain additional linkage data for Cg using more closely linked markers. The table lists the results of testerosses between Cg, Lg3 and d. These results confirm the tight linkage between Cg and d, but indicate that Cg is distal rather than proximal to d.
