3. Dwarf 1.

One of the dwarfs obtained from the Bikini test material is an allele of d₁. It is somewhat larger and more vigorous than the original d₁ but with the same compact growth, unlike the larger and more elongated intermediate allele found by Dr. Brink. It is very satisfactory as a seedling character. It was present in the L289/I205 single cross material used for the Bikini tests.
