2. In a cross between fasciated-cherry-japonica and golden, the majority of the F₁ plants were not-golden not-fasciated but were japonica. F₂ segregation was normal for the first genes but gave 89 japonica in a total of 189 plants. When japonica was crossed with dwarf-3 all F₁ plants were green, not japonica.
